Dear NPR:

I am outraged at the comments of Cokie Roberts on Morning Edition this morning, first of all stating that Bush has pulled ahead on the polls which is flat out wrong, in fact, this morning other news organizations most notably, Reuters, is reporting it a dead heat at 45% Bush, 45% Kerry, and secondly her outrageous, unsupportable suggestion that Bush pulled ahead because Kerry mentioned the Cheney's gay daughter in the last debate. Hog wash. The only people who were offended by Kerry mentioning the Cheney's gay daughter are her homophobic parents who are using Mary Cheney as a pawn. Where did Roberts get her data that Bush pulled ahead in the polls and second that he did so because of Kerry's comment which she claimed offended voters? She just made that up. She cited nothing to support her conclusions and they are simply not true. Please NPR let's stick to the facts and not some offensive unfounded opinionating by one of your ostensible top reporters. Do you call that news? I don't.

Sincerely,

Michelle D. Brodie
